Undetectable Equals Untransmittable (U=U)
Have you even heard or seen U=U and wondered what it means in relation to HIV?
Well it’s very simple, U=U stands for Undetectable = Untransmittable. Simply put, if a person who is living with HIV is taking their HIV treatment medication daily and their viral load reaches, a undetectable level, then they are unable to transmit the HIV virus to their non-HIV-Positive partner.
